Art Expo Malaysia 2017
German Identical twins Marina and Irina Fabrizius co-paint their pictures.together. Both graduated from the Dusseldorf Academy of Fine Arts.
The blondes, aged 33 and nearly identical except for a barely noticeable birthmark on Marina’s cheek
They not only live together but often think in tandem too, when Marina starts a sentence, Irina finishes it, and vice versa.
Their landscape paintings, realistic at first, became increasingly abstract during their academy studies, which included a master class under a leading Austrian painter, Herbert Brandl. The paintings are large, nearly monochrome, and radiate deep calm. Some have been sold to collectors, and even to professional footballers.
“Just being twins isn’t enough,” they say. “The paintings must have quality.”
Born in Kostanay, Kazakhstan, the Fabrizius twins emigrated with their parents at age nine to the southwestern German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Mr. Dirk Sass CEO of GermAsiaGateway who are promoting the twins, said they sold one of their paintings for RM150,000.00. Paintings are better than bonds or currencies as they appreciate almost 25% per year. If you were to buy paintings from GermAsiaGateway and want to cash in after a year or more they will even assist in getting buyers.
