Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur was recently named as one of the top 10 most loved hotels in the world by Hotel.com and New Zealand Unlimited is having New Zealand Week from November 7 - 12, 2016. Guest will be able to have a culinary journey to New Zealand at the Traders Gobo Upstairs Restaurant with Guest Chef Mat Cook.
Hotels.com’s annual Loved by Guests Awards 2016 recently identified 50 luxury hotels from around world that travellers love, and Traders Hotel Malaysia makes it into the Top 10 of this global “Best for luxury” list. The results are based on the hotel ratings by 20 million guests who have checked-in to these hotels.

Traders Hotel and New Zealand Unlimited invited some of their guest for a preview last night showcasing their food and wines. In one of the best organised wine dinner;s this blogger has attended, guest were able to sample some of the best wines & cheese from New Zealand and then savour some wonderful dishes prepared by Chef Mat Cook.
Guest were warmly welcomed by the management of Traders Hotel & New Zealand Unlimited and immediately treated to some of the finest cheese and wine as Traders resident jazz duo belted out some numbers in the background.
The New Zealand High Commissioner Dr. John Subrtizky was present at this event with Traders Hotel KL Super General Manager Christian Nannucci .
The New Zealand Unlimited Mixologist prepared a special cocktail for the evening and it was really good, i downed two glasses within 10 minutes. He prepared every single glass with passion!.. as you can see from the video below. Between me downing the wines and cocktails, I actually forgot to take the picture of the first dish that came out... the bread.
By the time the dinner started, all the guest were in "happyland", as by then we had all treated ourselves to some really good wines, cocktails and cheese.
The 6 - Course New Zealand Wine Dinner was simply awesome, I would be repeating myself again and again how good it is with every dish. All food lovers must head down to Traders Hotel KL, just try it out. Combined with the wines from New Zealand Unlimited, it was an awesome dinner treat.
The only tip is if you are really a typical Malaysian you would want your venison cooked 30 seconds longer, but if you like it pink as they come, then you have no problems.

Gobo Upstairs Lounge & Grill seats 70. The lounge is open daily from 10:00am to 1:00am.
The grill is open for lunch, Mondays to Fridays, from 12 noon to 2:30pm, and daily for dinner from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.
