Former senator lodges police report against Najib
SHAH ALAM: A police report has been lodged against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for allegedly misusing his powers in relation to an investigation on three former ministers said to have divulged confidential information in Parliament.
Datuk Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor (pix), a former senator, said that the report was lodged at 11.21am Thursday at the Shah Alam district police headquarters.
He called on the police to launch an investigation to determine if Najib, in his capacity as Prime Minister, had influenced the Inspector-General of Police to take action in his favour in matters related to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
The former PKR Youth chief quit the party in 2007, citing a lack of confidence in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and rejoined Umno in 2008.
Mohd Ezam, who is currently the chairman of the Hisbah Centre for Reform, joined Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia last month, days after quitting Umno for the second time.
