Alleged rapist ‑ and still a cop
"We will decide whether to forward the case to the Attorney-General’s office for charging after getting the chemist’s report." - Comm Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman
KOTA KINABALU: A police officer who allegedly raped, molested and forced his twin 14-year-old daughters to perform oral sex on him in Sabah’s interior Tenom district in August is still working pending the completion of investigations.
Tenom OCPD Deputy Supt Mohamad Firdaus Abdullah said the assistant superintendent was still on duty as the allegation was still under investigation.
Bukit Aman’s Integrity and Standard Compliance Department director Comm Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman said they were still waiting for a chemist’s report on the case.
“We will decide whether to forward the case to the Attorney-General’s office for charging after getting the chemist’s report,” he said in response to queries on the status of the investigation.
He said the investigation centred on incest, unnatural sex and molest.
“The Sabah Integrity and Standard Compliance Department is in charge of the case,” Jalaluddin added.
It was reported that the twins and their mother, who is the first wife of the suspect, fled here to lodge a police report at the end of August after the victims confided to her of the alleged abuse by their father.
The twins claimed their 43-year-old father raped them at the officers’ quarters at about 3pm on Aug 26 while their mother was away in Labuan and threatened to kill them if they told their mother.
They also alleged that they had been sexually abused since they were seven.
The twins are among the suspect’s three children from his first marriage.
He has four other children aged between three and 14 with the second wife.
