There have been 31 instances of Government secrets and official information being leaked out in the past five years

KUALA LUMPUR: There have been 31 instances of Government secrets and official information being leaked out in the past five years, said Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said .
The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department said in a written reply to Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad (BN-Kuala Kangsar) that a policy framework was being prepared to combat such leakages from happening.
However, she did not elaborate on the kind of information which had been leaked out, and its implications.
In a separate statement Monday, Azalina said four people had been charged under the Official Secrets Act (OSA) 1972 for leaking information since 2011.
Fifteen people were investigated under the OSA from 2011 to 2015.
Those found guilty under the OSA could face up to seven years in jail.
