Eugenie Bouchard beats British No 3 Naomi Broady in Malaysian Open semi-finals

Naomi Broady fell to former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard in the semi-finals of the BMW Malaysian Open.
Playing at the last-four stage of a WTA tournament for just the second time, British No 3 Broady lost 6-4 6-3 to the No 6 seed in Kuala Lumpur.
It brought to an end a highly successful tournament for 26-year-old Broady, who is making herself at home in the world's top 100.

Broady had an excellent quarter-final win over Sabine Lisicki, another former Wimbledon runner-up, but Bouchard was not to be denied as she reached a second final of the season.
Canadian Bouchard lost to Alize Cornet in the Hobart final in January, and in Sunday's title match will tackle Ukrainian second seed Elina Svitolina who was a 6-3 6-3 winner over Chinese qualifier Zhu Lin.
Bouchard will be seeking a second career title, having won at Nurnberg in 2014. That was the year she reached semi-finals at the Australian Open and French Open before making it to the Wimbledon final, where she lost to Petra Kvitova.
She soared to fifth in the world rankings before enduring a tough 2015 campaign, and the 22-year-old entered this week's tournament ranked 52nd on the women's tour.
