Jamal Yunus refutes allegations that Najib paid RM3mil

PETALING JAYA: Claims that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak gave a RM3mil cheque to the organisers of the red shirt rally are false, said Datuk Jamal Yunus (pix).
The Malay NGOs coalition president said that irresponsible parties were spreading lies.
“I would like to stress that Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu had nothing to do with the Prime Minister and we did not receive any allocations from him or the Government to hold the rally,” Jamal said in a statement Thursday.
He, however, mocked DAP leader Lim Guan Eng saying that the Penang Chief Minister may pay RM30mil to avoid similar rallies being held in the state.
About 50,000 people attended the red shirt rally in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday to show their opposition towards Bersih 4 and DAP.
