6 charged with Kevin Morais’s murder, doctor charged with abetment

The accused, who face murder and abetment charges in the Petaling Jaya magistrates' court today, in the death of a deputy public prosecutor earlier this month. – The Malaysian Insider pic by Afif Abd Halim, September 28, 2015.

Six men were charged with murder while an army doctor was charged with abetment over the murder of deputy public prosecutor Anthony Kevin Morais earlier this month.


G. Govindan, 47; S. Nimalan, 22; S. Subramaniam, 44; A. Thinesh Kumar, 22; M. Vishwanath, 44; and R. Dinishw‎aran, 22 allegedly murder Morais between 7am and 8pm somewhere along Jalan Dutamas Raya in Sentul and Jalan USJ 1/6D in Subang Jaya on September 4.

Pathologist Dr R. Kunasegaran‎ is charged with abetment.
Both offence carries the death penalty upon conviction.



No plea was taken when they were charged before magistrate Siti Radziah Kamarudin. ‎– September 28, 2015.
