KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has thankedThe Star  for publishing a caricature of him that thanked police for their crowd-control efforts during Wednesday's "red shirt" rally.

Khalid thanked The Star via his Twitter account saying in a tweet: "On behalf of @PDRMsia, TQ akhbar The Star."

The caricature featured Khalid with a medal that had a Facebook "like" and text reading: "‎Well done PDRM on the recent crowd-controlling efforts. Here's one from the rakyat."

The caricature, that was by cartoonist Reggie Lee, ‎was published in Sunday Star.
