A video clip of a group of men in red shirts trying to break into a small hotel near Petaling Street during the rally on Sept 16 had gone viral in social media, reportedChina Press.
The 55-second CCTV footage showed the men banging and trying to open the roller shutter of the hotel at about 4pm that day.
A receptionist at the hotel, known only as Maria, said the men also tried to break the shutter of two other shops next to the hotel. They left after failing to open the shutters.
Maria claimed that her boss had to spend RM1,700 to repair the hotel’s shutter the next day.
