BUTTERWORTH: A mechanic was sentenced to three months' jail for hurling pork into a mosque here.
Lee Tian Chong, 41, pleaded guilty to the charge of throwing a package containing pork meat into the Telaga Air Mosque compound at about 1.30am on Feb 6.
Lee Tian Chong, 41, pleaded guilty to the charge of throwing a package containing pork meat into the Telaga Air Mosque compound at about 1.30am on Feb 6.
He was charged under Section 295 of the Penal Code for defiling a place of worship with the intent to insult the religion.
It carries a jail term of up two years, a fine or both. Lee was not represented.
Magistrate Muhammad Firdaus Abdul Wahab ordered Lee's jail term to start from today.
