The Management of Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur threw a cocktail party at Aziamendi 88 for their corporate guests where after a warm welcome and introduction by the General Manager Frank Stocek we had the chance to sample some of Chef Eneko's creations

Mandarin Oriental General Manager Frank Stocek with Mark Weingard The Inala Founder

As you enter Aziamendi 88 in the transformed Mandarin Grill, your culinary journey will begin in the Garden, a mock up of the the garden at Aziamendi in Iniala Beach House in Phuket. Mark Weingard the Inala Founder wanted to create a place that was focused on design, art, gastronomy and that brought an amazing level of hospitality to the world.

Eatdrinkkl.blogspot, com, summed up the culinary journey very well:
"Aziamendi 88 is all about taking a journey, underscored by how the meal begins. Patrons are first ushered into a room that evokes a garden sanctum, where a 'picnic' basket awaits, blessed with the bounty of the ocean & the harvest of the land:

Mr.Arul Paramchothy, Assistant Director of F&B Welcoming Guest to the The Garden.

To start of the "picnic" we sampled the Anchovy Mille Feuille, Mojito Bon Bon, and Corn Toast & Caviar served in a picnic basket.

As the welcome cocktails were served you will find bonsai trees all over the restaurant with cherry tomatoes. You are encouraged to "pluck" the red cherry tomatoes and eat them and that's what we did. The tomatoes burst in your mouth with a sweet cherry flavour. It was a fun start to the evening just imagine picking from the tree and eating right there.

With a free flow of Moet Chandon Champagne, White and Red Wines, guest happily sampled away the creations of Chef Eneko Atxa
