Marini's on 57 holds Launch Party For Their Sunset Hours Vol 2 Album in Conjunction With their Sunset Bars 3rd Anniversary

June 9, 2015 Marini's on 57 had a launch party for the release of their Sunset Hours Vol 2 Album compiled by two world-famous deejays Chris Coco and Steve Miller.

As a follow up their first album compiled last year by Jose Padilla, Sunset Hours Vol 2 features an original track called “Sunset Hours (Marini’s Remix)”. ( See below to hear some tunes from that album)

DJ Chris Coco was  present to entertain the guest during the launch.  It was pretty much a chill out event with chill out house music . All the guest received an autographed copy of the album.

The Sunset Hours album series are said to be inspired by the amazing views privy to Marini's on 57, and the tangible energy created by guests who patronise the venue. When light seductively turns into a dark sea full of stars is when Marini's on 57 slowly comes to life, throbbing to the heart beat of Kuala Lumpur City

Guest were treated to a free flow Red & White Wine and Beer.  While as usual drinks were bountiful It was rather perplexing that no food or canapes was served during the event seeing that Marini's is one of the best restaurant in Kuala Lumpur and the function was held at dinner time. I am sure guest who cant afford their minimum check would have to have loved to steal a taste of what they have on offer in their restaurant side.

DJ Steve Miller.

DJ Steve Miller is known as a master producer of chill out music with more tracks than anyone else on the Café Del Mar album series and his music features on over 500 other compilations with K-Klass, Jose Padilla and Chris Coco; among others.

DJ Chris Coco

Chris Coco has been working as a DJ since the acid house explosion of the late 80s.
He has been editor of DJ Mag in its early days where he coined the term ‘Chill Out House’ for the genre, worked for BBC Radio 1 on the after hours show, The Blue Room, and has made artiste albums for Warp and Distinctive Records.
Besides Marini’s on 57, he has made compilations for Playboy, Ministry of Sound, EMI Classical and Trojan Records. His music has also appeared on many other compilations such as Café Del Mar and Hotel Costes.
His radio show, Melodica, grew from its online home on Mixcloud to include broadcasts in cities from Melbourne to Istanbul to Chicago. Even the UK daily, The Guardian, called it “the hazy, lazy sound of the summer”.
With a monthly residency at the noted East London dinner dance Disappearing Dining Club; plus regular gigs at big festivals like Bestival, Glastonbury and Stop Making Sense and at cool venues like The Bedroom Bar and The Gowlett in London, Big Chill Bar in Bristol and international shows from Space in Ibiza to KuDeTa in Bali, Chris is a busy live DJ.
