24 Oct – Michelle Ye's manager explained her side of the story regarding the incident involving her dog last month.
Previously, it was reported that Michelle's unleashed Alaskan breed attacked Chinese actress Li Yixiao at a birthday party, causing injuries to her head and ear that left her with more than 20 stitches.
While the incident occurred in September, it only made news recently after blogger Ju Chunlei wrote about it online. However, Li herself quickly clarified that Michelle's camp has already apologised for it.
According to Sina News, Michelle's manager recently turned to Weibo to explain about the issue.
The manager stated that the dog responsible for the injury was a stray dog that Michelle rescued, and was brought to the party as requested by friends who wanted to see it. However, the strong smell of alcohol distressed the dog, and as it grew restless, it attacked the first person that it saw.
"Michelle felt very sorry for what had happened, and offered to pay all the medical expenses. I also asked Ju himself to visit Li first, as I had another appointment and wasn't able to visit. I asked him because we have worked together before, and his wife belongs to the same agency as Li," said the manager.
However, it was a surprise to both Michelle and her manager when Ju decided to disclose the incident to the public, and believed that he had ulterior motives for doing so.
The manager added, "I trusted him because I thought we were friends. He even sent me photos of her injuries. I felt terrible looking at it and even forwarded them to Michelle, but I also began to worry that it might be used for other purposes."
