Semporna resort kidnap: Victim to be admitted for MBA programme, says father

PETALING JAYA: The father of a Chinese tourist who was abducted from a resort off Semporna in Sabah called the Shanghai People's Radio Station pleading for help from the authorities to save her.
He said his 29-year-old daughter Gao Huayun had worked in a Japanese firm and attained excellent results in her studies.
He said on Wednesday, he received a letter from a university in Britain informing his daughter that she had been admitted to its MBA programme.
He said Gao was travelling in Malaysia with her course mates.
According to the radio station, a woman named Xu lodged a police report at the Yangpu district station in Shanghai claiming that her daughter was abducted in Malaysia.

Gao was reportedly taken at about 10.30pm on Wednesday when a group of gunmen stormed into the Singamata Reef Resort. They also abducted a Filipino resort staff.
