Police Nab Boyfriend For Suspected Assault, Murder Of Girlfriend

KUALA LUMPUR: The police detained the main suspect in the case of a woman who was beaten to death at Lagoon Perdana, Bandar Sunway, near here on Monday, early this morning.
The suspect, the victim's 30-year-old boyfriend, was nabbed at a Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) ward while he was seeking treatment for head injuries.
"We have remanded him for seven days until Feb 25," Subang Jaya police chief ACP Yahaya Ramli told Bernama when contacted here.
It was reported that Pakizah Raja Khan, 27, was found seriously injured at the man's house and that he had contacted her mother, Maimunah Abdullah, 49, about the matter.
The victim sustained a cracked skull and was pronounced dead enroute to the UMMC.
