Cabinet to reshuffle soon?/Google Imagesfice has confirmed that a Cabinet reshuffle is imminent.
Speaking exclusively to Malaysian Digest, the source revealed the reshuffle will see three Ministers leaving Cabinet.
“They are Ku Nan, Hasan Malek and Jamil Khir,” confirmed the source, referring to Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor,Minister of Domestic Trade Cooperative and Consumerism Datuk Hassan Malek and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Islamic Affairs Dato' Jamil Khir.
The source said that the reason for them being axed from Cabinet is because of their incompetence.
“They are selected as among the Cabinet ministers to go because they have been regarded as not able to pull their weight when it comes to executing policies and issues, and leaving everything to the PM. But bottom line is that they (should be) responsible for their respective portfolios (not the PM).
“The PM has taken a lot of heat as a result of the incompetency of the current Cabinet Ministers,” the source explained.
Without giving any specific date the source said the Cabinet reshuffle will “happen soon”.
“The reshuffle will happen soon because MCA had just completed their party elections and they now have a new leader there, so we reserved a ministry for MCA. So when we change the three Cabinet ministers’ portfolio, we will also change the rest as well,” the source said.
The source also said that the “MCA leadership” will take over the Ministry of Transport portfolio.
He also hinted that there may be other changes in Cabinet.
“There are a lot of very unpopular Ministers, but for now, I can only share with you the three that has been named for removal.
“The rest, we will wait and see,” the source hinted to mD.
