3 Myanmar nationals found dead in MPV
Yong Peng: Three including a Myanmar woman were found dead in a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at the Yong Peng Rest and Treatment (R&R) Stop, heading south, last night.
The incident happened at 8.30pm with the three victims aged 23 to 27 years old found unconscious by members of the public, inside a Perodua Alza.
It is understood that members of the public who were at the scene of the incident tried to help by breaking the mirror until they successfully removed the three victims.
However, the medical team that arrived at the scene confirmed that all three had died.
Meanwhile, Pagoh Fire and Rescue Station Operations Commander, Suhairulair Sarip said, his side received an emergency call at 8.59pm.
He said, a total of six members rushed to the location.
"Upon arrival, we found that the three victims had already been removed by members of the public who happened to be at the location.
"All victims were found unconscious and confirmed dead before being handed over to the police for further action," he said.
In the meantime, Batu Pahat District Acting Chief of Police, Superintendent Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani when contacted confirmed that he had received a report about the incident.
He said the police are still conducting investigations to identify the cause of death of the foreigners involved.
"The body was taken to the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital (HSNI) near here for an autopsy," he said.
