Hazani has vast experience, knowledge on security issue in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU, Aug 21 -- The appointment of Datuk Hazani Ghazali as the new Sabah Police Commissioner is apt, taking into consideration his vast experience and knowledge on the security issues in Sabah.
Sabah Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Society adviser Mohd Zaki Harry Susanto said Hazani is also believed to be capable of tackling the issues of terrorism, militants, drugs and cross-border crimes in the state.
“Our confidence is due to the extensive experience of Hazani who had served at the Criminal Investigation Department of Sabah Police Contingent headquarters for several years before being transferred to Bukit Aman and before returning to Sabah as the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCom) commander in 2017.
“Sabah is lucky to have a Police Commissioner who are highly committed and has extensive experience. I’m sure he will be able to focus on combating crimes in Sabah while giving fair attention to ESSCom,” he told Bernama here today.
Hazani replaced Datuk Zaini Jass, who will be joining Bukit Aman Administration Division, effective today.
