22 Filipinos get 6-months jail for possession of fake ID

MANJUNG: Twenty-two Filipinos were jailed for six month for possessing fake identity cards and using fake identities at the Magistrate's court here, today.
All the foreigners, aged between 21 and 42, pleaded guilty to committing the offence at Jalan Pelabuhan, Taman Perindustrian IKS, Kampung Acheh 2, Lumut here at 6.30am on March 31.
The accused, a female and 21 males were charged under Rule 25(1)(e) of the National Registration Regulations 1990 (Amended 2007).
Magistrate Nur Shaqira Ibrahim ordered them to be jailed for six month from the date of arrests and to be handed over to the immigration after completing their jail term.
Prosecution was carried out by deputy public prosecutors Mohd Fazdhly Abd Razak, Ahmad Firdaus Che Md Ros.
None of the Filipinos were represented.
