SHAH ALAM: A restaurant helper landed himself in trouble for trespassing at a firemen's hostel in Seksyen 15 and pulling down his pants in front of a woman.

The 25-year-old man was alleged to have entered a unit at the hostel which was occupied by a fireman's family at 4am last Thursday. The family was staying there temporarily as their home was under renovation.
The woman, 36, the wife of the fireman who was away on training, said in her police report that she was sleeping in the unit with her three children.
She woke up and was shocked when she saw the man, half-naked, in front of her bed. She said the man flashed his genitals at her. She hit him several times with a pillow and he quickly pulled up his pants, saying “never mind” and ran out of the premises.
At the magistrate's court on Monday, Muhammad Salihin Zailan, believed to be a family member of another fireman, pleaded not guilty when he was charged with trespassing and showing gestures intended to insult the modesty of a person under the Penal Code.
Salihin, from Sungai Mati in Muar, Johor, who was not represented, faces maximum jail time of three years, fines of RM5,000 or both for the first offence; and jail time of up to five years, a fine or both for the second offence upon conviction.

Magistrate Farah Azura Mohd Saad  later set bail at RM2,500 for the first offence and RM1,500 for the second offence, and fixed May 26 for re-mention pending submission of related documents.
