Journalist to be investigated over Citizens’ Declaration article

PETALING JAYA: A journalist will be investigated under the Sedition Act 1948 for her reporting on the Citizens' Declaration.
Zakiah Koya of The Heat Malaysia said she was informed about the matter last week by police.
“They called me last week and informed me that I need to go to the police station with regard to this matter,” she said.
She added that she was not aware of the details, only that she would need to be present at Petaling Jaya district police headquarters on Friday in relation to an article on the declaration, which is to be investigated under the Sedition Act.
Zakiah, the elder sister of PKR central committee Latheefa Koya, is the second individual to investigated over the Citizens’ Declaration.
The first person was activist Azrul Mohd Khalib who initiated a petition in support of the declaration.
His case is being investigated under section 4(1) of the Sedition Act.
