BUKIT MERTAJAM: Two motorcyclists were injured when they sideswiped each other in Jalan Kulim, Cherok Tok Kun, near here.

One rammed a parked car and crashed headfirst through its rear windshield while the other fell on the road.

Bukit Mertajam Fire and Rescue Department commander Senior Supt II Mahadi Alwi said seven firemen rushed there after getting a call at about noon yesterday.

It is learnt that one of the riders tried to overtake the other before they lost control of their motorcycles.

Both were said to be in critical condition and were sent to Hospital Bukit Mertajam.
