KUALA LUMPUR: City police are satisfied with the conduct of the Bersih 4 protestors so far as the rally remains peaceful.

"We are satisfied with the rally so far and we hope it remains peaceful until the end," said city police chief Comm Datuk Tajuddin Md Isa.

He said sufficient numbers of police personnel had been placed at strategic points in the city to ensure the safety of all involved.

"We estimate the crowd at 25,000 as of 3pm," he said.

He added that the Federal Reserve Unit has not been mobilised as there was no need to do so.

"I hope all will remain calm and protest peacefully.

"We will play our part to ensure safety and security are not jeopardised," he said.
