A couple was busted for committing khalwat in Alor Gajah, Malacca, after neighbours were annoyed by them having "vocal" sex every weekend.
A group of people, consisting of an imam, resident committee members and the police found that a 24-year-old male tenant had brought home his 32-year-old girlfriend to have sex. Locals were suspicious when they found an outsider's car parked discreetly in the back alley.
Upon approaching the house at 5.15am, they heard moaning sounds from the main bedroom. "We waited for at least 30 minutes before the woman opened the door for us, fully dressed in baju kurung and headscarf," said a source.
Both had their statement recorded at the Alor Gajah district police station and have been referred to the Malacca Islamic Affairs Department (Jaim) for further action.
