4th MACC officer was called to facilitate investigations into leaked information in the 1MDB probe

Fourth MACC officer hauled up over 1MDB probe

PETALING JAYA: A fourth Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officer was called in to facilitate investigations into leaked information in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) probe.
A source confirmed that Tuan Roslan Tuan Mat, who is attached to Special Operations, was summoned to the Putrajaya police district headquarters on Monday night.
"He had his statements recorded between 8pm and 10.30pm.
"He was called in to facilitate the investigation into the leak of confidential government documents. That makes him the fourth MACC officer to be called in for questioning," said the source.
Yesterday, Criminal Investigation Division officers from Bukit Aman spent two hours questioning special operations division director Datuk Bahri Mohd Zin at the commission headquarters in Putrajaya, while head of the forensic division Datuk I.G. Chandran was questioned for three hours at the MACC Academy in Kuala Lumpur.
On Saturday, police searched the home of MACC deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Sazilee Abdul Khairi and his MACC office.
Documents on 1MDB and its former subsidiary SRC International as well as laptops were taken away by police.
This came after the arrest of former MAC advisory board member Tan Sri Rashpal Singh and Attorney-General’s Chambers finance and anti-money laundering secretariat member Jessica Gurmeet Kaur.
They were detained to assist police investigations on the alleged leak.
Sarawak Report had published a draft charge sheet purportedly leaked by the investigation team on 1MDB.
Earlier, a senior MACC enforcement officer from its intelligence unit lodged a report at the Putrajaya police headquarters, denying that MACC had leaked information pertaining to the 1MDB probe.
