Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak had a low-key celebration for his 62nd birthday which fell on July 23.

Najib celebrates birthday in moderate fashion

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak had a low-key celebration for his 62nd birthday today.
In a picture uploaded by the Prime Minister's Office PMO on its @PMOMalaysia Twitter account in the morning, Najib is seen posing with members of his staff from with two birthday cakes.
"Sincerely from us, members of the Prime Minister's Office, celebrating PM @NajibRazak's birthday earlier. Happy birthday Datuk Seri," the caption reads.
Najib later responded on his personal Twitter account with a picture of the cakes and a tweet "I was surprised by my colleagues with cakes in the office earlier. Thank you for the birthday wishes".
Meanwhile, several Cabinet ministers also took the opportunity to wish Najib with Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein writing "Happy Birthday PM '@FriendsofBN1:'Nobody can split the unity among the races in Msia".
Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, in his Twitter account, @shaberyc, at 7.20am tweeted "Happy Birthday Datuk Seri Najib! Hope patience and sincerity (will) be the strength in discharging your duties and responsibilities".
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nancy Shukri wrote "Happy Birthday PM. May Allah bless you with strength and great wisdom to lead the nation".
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor posted a picture of Najib together with a birthday wish.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching and Ledang Member of parliament Datuk Hamim Samur also wished Najib.
Barisan Nasional's official Twitter account also wished the premier, tweeting: "Happy birthday to YAB Dato' @NajibRazak. Live long and may Allah bless you."
The prime minister also took time off later in the evening to reply to some of the well wishes on Twitter.
