43 Year Old Lecturer's Decomposed Body Found In River Near Kota Damansara

Lecturer's body found in river near Kota Damansara

 
PETALING JAYA: The decomposed body of a man, believed to be that of a 43-year-old lecturer, was found floating in Sungai Rumput near Kota Damansara here.
The body was found on the riverbank at about 2pm Friday after being swept by currents.
Fire-fighters fished the body out of the water at around 3.30pm before handing it over to the police for further investigation.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Azmi Abu Kassim said authorities were alerted to the discovery by a woman who saw the body floating in the river near the Tropicana Indah Resort Homes.
“Police officers were despatched to the scene following the report,” he added.
The body has been sent to Hospital Sungai Buloh for a post-mortem to identify the cause of death.
Authorities found a driving licence belonging to one George Lee Vui Hon on the body.
It was learnt that Lee, originally from Penampang, Sabah, had previously rented a room in a house at Bandar Puchong Jaya.
The house owner, who wanted to remain anonymous, said Lee rented the room for about a year before moving out two months ago.
“He told me that he was a lecturer at a private college.
“He rented a place near the Old Klang Road after moving out in April,” the house owner said.
The house owner said he did not know much about Lee as the latter usually kept to himself.
It was learnt that Lee had a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering and was unmarried.
According to the police, Lee had lodged a police report three days ago on an accident. The details of the accident were not revealed.
