Lotus Elise driver injured, dog killed in crash

MUAR: A 40-year-old man was seriously injured while his dog was killed when the Lotus Elise he was driving skidded at KM 147.2 of the North-South Expressway near Pagoh here this afternoon.


Lim Lik Wie, 40, from Johor Baru, was travelling with his dog heading north in the 3pm incident.
Muar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azman Ayob said the driver who was believed to be speeding, lost control of the car, causing it to skid and slam into the road divider.

 
"The impact caused the roof of the car to be ripped off and the driver was found still strapped in his seat while his dead dog was on the front passenget seat," he said.
He said Lim was sent to Sultanah Fatimah Hospital for treatment.
The crash caused a two-kilometre congestion on both sides of the highway.
