Malaysian grass cutter finds cache of drugs and 285 bullets

KUALA LUMPUR - A Kuala Lumpur City Hall contractor found a cache of 285 bullets and drugs while he was trimming hedges at Taman Desa Aman.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohan Singh said the man immediately called police after making the discovery at around 11.05am on Wednesday.
"My men found two bags containing .38 bullets (100), .45 bullets (99), 7.65mm bullets (48), 9mm bullets (38) and 325gm of syabu worth about RM60,000 (S$22,900).
"We believe the contractor stumbled upon a dropoff point used by a syndicate to pass ammunition and drugs to a buyer," he told pressmen at the Cheras police headquarters yesterday.
He said the syndicate is believed to take orders online before leaving the "items" at selected spots for the buyer to collect.
"We are now hunting down the syndicate," he said.
