120 Malaysian pupils ill after soy sauce chicken meal

BUKIT MERTAJAM - Some 120 pupils from SK Tanah Liat here came down with food poisoning, believed to be after they ate a meal of chicken cooked in soy sauce during recess.
Permatang Pauh Umno chief Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said said the incident came to light after several pupils complained of vomiting and diarrhoea.
He said the Central Seberang Prai district health office was conducting an investigation.
Mohd Zaidi added that the school canteen had been ordered to close for two weeks pending the outcome of the investigation.
