Another Teen Marriage ,,,

SHAH ALAM: "I may be only 15, but I will prove that I can be the best husband and father to my wife in our happy family.
"Our family and relatives' blessings gave me strength to prove that age has nothing to do with one's ability and responsibility as a husband," said 15-year-old Muhamad Haikal Farith Mohd Shah.
On Saturday Haikal was married to Nur Hazwani Mohd Kamal, a Form four student, by the Imam of Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson, Berita Harian reported today.
The couple were solemnised with a dowry of RM200 and a wedding gift of RM5,000.
Haikal said his father, Mohd Shah Abdul Aziz, 43, appealed the court's permission for them to marry, as they are still underaged.
Fiery enthusiasm
The groom said although he is a year younger than his wife, his fiery enthusiasm and sense of responsibility to ensure a happy marriage was heightened especially after they were legally wed.
Haikal was not intimidated by the recent report of another young couple's failed marriage which only lasted less than a year.
"Although we're still young, I will strive to be the best husband to ensure a lasting marriage. Many were cynical about it, but we want to prove that a happy marriage has nothing to do with age," he said.
Family support
"Our family members have been very supportive. Young age is not a barrier to be a good husband and I will prove it," he said when met at a relative's home while introducing his new 16-year-old wife.
Haikal had dropped out of school a year ago and has been helping his father's business as a building contractor.
His father, Mohd Shah said, after marriage the newlyweds will be staying with his (groom's) family, while his daughter-in-law finishes school.
Last month, Berita Harian reported the failed marriage of a young couple aged 19 and 13 years old, which ended a week before their first anniversary.
