KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Dr J. Loga Bala Mohan was announced as the new President of the People's Progressive Party (MyPPP) today after winning unopposed in the election for the party's main post.

Previously, Loga Bala who was the party's senior vice-president acted as president based on Article 9.10 of the party's constitution which stipulates that the senior vice-president will act as president if the position is vacant.
Inder Singh said the seat of Deputy President of MyPPP is now filled by Datuk Mohan A Kandasamy who previously held the position of Senior Vice President.
MyPPP which was established in 1953 currently has 320,000 members in 119 divisions and 3,119 branches.
