Police raided six entertainment centers believed to be 'protected' by secret society groups

Police raided six entertainment centers believed to be 'protected' by secret society groups around Selangor and the national capital, last Friday.

The success was uploaded on Sunday through the official Facebook of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

According to the statement, the raid was carried out by the Gambling, Vice and Gangsterism Prevention Division (D7) of JSJ Bukit Aman starting at 9pm.

"Op Noda Entertainment Center managed to arrest 21 people consisting of foreigners working as customer servers, managers and general workers.

"Two secret society gang members along with a wanted person were also among those arrested," he said.

The statement added that the results of the urine screening also found that four individuals who were detained were positive for methamphetamine and ketamine.

He said, the modus operandi of this entertainment center is to hide behind an 'open pub and club' concept business and operate in a row of shophouses believed to be trying to mislead the authorities.

"This entertainment premise has also used the services of secret society members as ' bouncers ' in addition to making the premises a location for secret society groups to gather and entertain," he said.
