Police are hunting individuals who set fire to vape shop

PORT DICKSON: Police are tracking a group of individuals suspected of setting fire to a vape shop in Taman Ria here as a video went viral on the X platform on Tuesday.
Port Dickson District Police Chief, Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed said, his side noted two videos lasting one minute 18 seconds and 15 seconds which were uploaded by the account owner on the X platform with the name @anthraxxx781 at approximately 6.30pm.
"The fire happened last Monday at approximately 9.50 pm involving a vape shop lot. The fire was successfully extinguished by the fire department.
"The estimated total loss is approximately RM50,000. The case is being investigated under Section 436 of the Penal Code for committing treason with fire," he said on Wednesday.
He said that the police are actively conducting intelligence in an effort to track down the suspect involved.
"Public members who have information related to the suspect can contact the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Mohamad Danial Abd Rohim on 013-2226085.
