137 foreign women suspected of working as GRO's were arrested in Ops Noda at an entertainment center



A total of 137 foreign women suspected of working as customer service (GRO) were arrested in Ops Noda at an entertainment center in Johor Bahru, here, on Sunday.

The success was uploaded on Monday through the official Facebook of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

According to the statement, the raid was carried out by the Gambling, Vice and Gangsterism Prevention Division (D7) of JSJ Bukit Aman starting at 12 midnight and ending at about 6.30 am.

"The police have also managed to arrest 52 foreigners who are managers, general workers, customers and 'mummies'.

"Urine screening tests found that two of those arrested were positive for eramin 5," he said.

The statement added that the entertainment center with the concept of 'live band open pub and garlands' operates between 9pm and 3am and is the focus of foreigners.

"All those arrested have been taken to the South Johor Bahru District Police Headquarters (IPD) for further action. The case is being investigated under the Immigration Act 1959/63 and the Johor State Entertainment Enactment," he said.
