SHAH ALAM, September 22 -- The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, today conferred the title “Tengku Panglima Raja Selangor” on his brother, Tengku Ahmad Shah Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.
Istana Selangor, in a statement said the title conferment, effective Aug 12, was made after consultation with the Selangor Royal Council in its 153rd meeting.
“Tengku Ahmad Shah previously holds the title of Tengku Indera Setia which was bestowed on him during the tenure of the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah on May 9, 1992,” the statement said.
It added that the title of Tengku Panglima Raja Selangor was previously conferred on Tengku Sulaiman Shah Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah from Aug 1, 1978, to June 30, 2016.
