Gobind: No place for Pandikar if Pakatan wins Parliament

TANGKAK, May 2 ― A Pakatan Harapan federal administration will absolutely not re-appoint Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia as the Speaker of Parliament, said DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo.
He said it was the prerogative of each government to appoint a new Speaker.
“Nothing personal against Pandikar but I am disappointed with his conduct as Speaker particularly in the manner in which he has simplistically rejected our appeals to debate certain issues.
“He attitude towards certain member of parliament also lead me to think that we should look for somebody else,” he said.
On whether PH has a candidate in mind for the position, Gobind said the matter was not of immediate importance.
Pandikar clashed repeatedly with Opposition MPs in the previous term, and suspended several.
