Factory worker charged with raping underaged girl

IPOH: A factory worker was slapped with two charges for raping an underaged girl in Taman Batu Gajah Perdana in Pusing near here.

P. Karunagaran, 20, claimed trial to raping the 15-year-old girl at a house at 12.45pm on Oct 26 and again at 2.30pm on Oct 27.

The offence carries a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping under Section 376 of the Penal Code.

Sessions judge Zulqarnain Hassan set bail at RM12,000 for both charges and Dec 8 for mention.
