CCTV video of gang-rape goes viral





A CCTV video showing a woman gang-rape by two robbers at a gambling outlet in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong has gone viral. A man, who posted it on his Facebook page, claimed he received the video and photos via WeChat.

PUCHONG: Police are investigating a viral video of a rape and robbery incident which allegedly took place in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong.

In the incident, two unidentified individuals entered an entertainment centre here with the intention to rob the outlet.
Not satisfied with robbing the place, they also took turns to sexually assault the cashier in a hidden corner of the outlet.
CCTV footage of the duo taking turns forcing the victim has made its rounds via WhatsApp, along with the pictures of the alleged suspects.
At around 11am, the footage garnered over 7,000 shares on social media.
The four-minute video also had netizens riled up calling for the alleged suspects to be heavily punished for their crime.
Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias said he has yet to receive a report of the incident.
“Meanwhile, we will look into the authenticity of the video,” he said.
ACP Megat said a taskforce has also been set up to positively identify the victims, suspects and the crime scene.
“We hope the victim and the owner of the outlet will come forward to help with our investigations,” he said.
ACP Megat also advised the public to stop all speculation and to stop spreading the video any further.
“Anyone with information on the crime should channel that information to us at any police station,” he said.
