Najib: Arul Kanda still 1MDB CEO, involved in TRX development

BEIJING: Arul Kanda Kandsamy is still 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) CEO and is involved in the development of the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).
Clarifying this today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said he wanted to clarify Arul Kanda's position due to the various rumours in the market.
"Arul Kanda remains 1MDB CEO and is also involved in the TRX development," he said.
Najib also noted Arul Kanda's efforts behind the rationalisation of 1MDB.
"I have full confidence in Arul Kanda as he has provided good leadership for the rationalisation of 1MDB," he told members of the Malaysian media after attending the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) in Beijing, today.
Najib added that the Treasury secretary-general will consult Arul Kanda closely on development of Bandar Malaysia.
