SHAH ALAM, Dec 11 — Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamad Sabu is upbeat about his party’s chances in PAS-led Kelantan and Terengganu at the next general elections.
The Opposition politician believes Amanah is making the right moves to win the trust of voters from the two east coast states, crediting much of the ground work to Salor assemblyman Datuk Husam Musa.
“And when it is time for election, I’m certain that with the help of Datuk Husam Musa who has been grilling PAS over many issues, the people will support us and that support will remain for a very long time,” he said in his winding up speech at the party’s inaugural convention here today.
Mohamad, popularly known as Mat Sabu, earlier explained that change of power and administration was inevitable.
He cited the change in world power from US to China as an example of how the “powerless” could become powerful someday.
“Likewise, in Malaysia, BN cannot rule for long… it is time for a change,” he said, using the initials to refer to the Barisan Nasional coalition.
