KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (Sting) today detained 87 people, including two foreigners, at an entertainment outlet in Jalan Pudu.

Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Sukri Kaman said the team screened a total of 150 people in the raid.

He said 14 of of those tested positive were below 18.

Several types of drugs – Eramine 5, ecstasy and ketamine, were also seized during the five-hour operation called 'Ops Pusat Hiburan'.

The case is being investigated under Section 12(2), Section 15(1)(a), Section 39A(1) and Section 39A(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar congratulated the team via his Twitter account, @KBAB51: “Syabas STING @PDRMsia, pagi tadi, serbu pusat hiburan di Jln Pudu, KL. Tkap 87 org +tive dadah dan rampas dadah #GoPDRMGo”.
