Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur presents RM60,000 to IJN Foundation for 2 year old Muhammad Al Amin As Sediq's operation.

CHEQUE PRESENTATION CEREMONY TO IJN FOUNDATION

TRADERS HOTEL KUALA LUMPUR


Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur held a small cheque presentation ceremony on Thursday, 8 December 2016 at 12.30 pm, Gobo Upstairs Lounge & Grill in support of their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, followed by a lunch.


This presentation was graced by YBhg Datuk Hashim Wahir, Group CEO, KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd and YBhg Datin Julini Mohd Ali, Fundraising Chairman, Member of the Board of Trustee, IJN Foundation, Bonnie Yap, Photographer and Cristian Nannucci, General Manager, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur initiated fund raising activities and events to help raise funds for Muhammed Al Amin As Sediq, 2 years old who is in need of TOF CORRECTION* & PDA**
procedures. Muhammad Al Amin is a 2 years old boy with Down Syndrome. He is the youngest from six siblings. His parents are low income earners and his father works in the paddy fields while his mother is a general worker.

Having received public donation amounting to RM19,000.00, another RM36,000.00 is needed for TOF Correction* and PDA** procedures. The hotel would like to give him and his family the gift of hope. The hotel, through its various activities, raised in total, RM58,395.06 which will be presented to IJN Foundation. 


The funds are raised through a Charity Food Sale, Fund Raising dinner and personal donations. The hotel would also like to record their thanks to Photographer, Bonnie Yap, who donated RM10,000.00 from proceeds of her charity sales made through
her Exhibition, ‘Through the Eyes of South Georgia – Watch, Respect, Capture’ held at the hotel in June 2016.

*TOF – Tetralogy of Fallot is a congenital heart defect which is classically understood to involve four anatomical abnormalities of the heart. It is the most common cynatic heart defect and the most common cause of blue baby syndrome (blue lips and fingertips due to lack of osygen and poor blood flow).

**PDA Occlusion – Patent Ductus Arteriosus is a heart problem that occurs soon after birth in some babies. In PDA, the abnormal blood flow occurs between two of the major arteries connected to the heart. PDA occlusion is a procedure to close the opening between a child’s aorta and pulmonary artery.

IJN Foundation is a non-profit organization that executes Corporate Social Responsibility CSR) activities on behalf of Institut Jantung Negara (IJN). Under the Foundation’s Patient Assistance Programme, financial assistance are being provided to needy and deserving heart patients to obtain their medical treatment in IJN or outside Malaysia if such treatment is not available locally.

The objective of CSR in the Hotel is to work toward a long term, sustainable initiative with a view to promote a safer and healthier environment for the employees, a better living opportunity for the community and creating an environment where the employees and the community are brought to awareness and a cause for a need to improve the natural environment. In all things, there must be sustainable long term benefits to all recipients of our partners this must benefit them either financially, physically and emotionally.
