Cop stabbed over mix-up at restaurant
KUALA LUMPUR: A police constable, who was ordering roti canai at a restaurant, was stabbed over a misunderstanding.
The 26-year-old policeman from the Bukit Aman Special Action Unit (Unit Tindak Khas) had gone to the outlet with three friends and made his order from a man he thought was a restaurant employee.
The presumed worker ignored him and was about to leave the place when his friend flashed an obscene gesture at the policeman, said Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Ali Ahmad.
ACP Ali said the policeman chased the man to the lobby of a condominium, where the restaurant was located, where a scuffle ensued.
The constable, he said, was stabbed in the stomach with a sharp object.
He is now at the Selayang Hospital where his condition is stable.
Two men, aged 24, have been detained over the incident
