ISKANDAR PUTERI, Dec 7 — A man was killed after being involved in an accident in an escape bid after failing to break into a house in Taman Nusantara, Gelang Patah, here, yesterday morning.

Iskandar Puteri District Police chief Supt Noor Hashim Mohamad said Mohammad Shah Fizzan Mohamad Hairani, 25, had earlier tried to climb the fence of a house in the area before he was spotted by the house owner who shouted at him.

He said the suspect who was startled by the shout immediately fled the scene with a waiting accomplice on motorcycle.

“The house owner gave them a chase in his car for about four kilometres before he found the motorcycle, which had crashed into the concrete retaining wall by the roadside.

“Mohammad Shah Fizzan was found sprawled on the ground and injured while his friend had escaped,” he told reporters at the Iskandar Puteri District Police Headquarters here today.
