Former Terengganu MB says if UMNO sacks me there would be a hung parliament. Currently, Barisan Nasional has 17 seats against 14 by PAS and 1 by PKR.

Any decision made by the Umno Supreme Council on his fate in the party but had also warned them of the consequences the party could face in the state.

This came after Ahmad Said, who is the Kijal assemblyman, said that he heard at the Supreme Council meeting which was held on Friday where members had urged the Supreme Council to sack him for openly criticising the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and also for moving a motion of no-confidence against Mentri Besar Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman during the state legislative assembly meeting in March.

“I will accept their decision and if many don’t want me in the party then I will leave. It all depends on the situation.

“However, if they sack me from the party, they (Umno) may have to face the consequences as this decision will affect Umno in the state. With my sacking, there would be a hung parliament.

Currently, Barisan Nasional has 17 seats against 14 by PAS and 1 by PKR.

“If they think they want to go ahead with the decision to sack me, then by all means they can do it. And it is a hung parliament then the mentri besar will have to seek an audience with the Sultan to either resign or dissolve it,” he told reporters after officiating at the ground breaking ceremony of 30 shoplots worth RM45mil and Umno Kemaman division Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house.

Ahmad Said, who is also Umno Kemaman division chief, said his main priority now was to focus on carrying out his duties for the people.
