KOTA KINABALU: Two men were killed while another escaped unhurt when two motorcyclists fired at their four-wheel drive vehicle along Foh Sang road near here Friday morning.
Hii Lam King, 36 and Ting Wen Hou, 23, who were seated in front of the 4WD, were believed killed on the spot while another 23-year-old was unharmed in the 7.30am shooting. All three victims are from Sibu, Sarawak.

KOTA KINABALU: Shooting victim Ting Wen Hou, 23, was one of a pair of twins.
His brother, seated in the back was unharmed after the two suspects rode up to their vehicle and shot eight times through the driver’s window, killing Hii Lam King, 36, who was driving and Wen Hou, who was seated in the front passenger seat.
It was learnt that the shooters had tailed the Toyota Land Cruiser that belongs to Hii, before one of the suspects fired through the driver’s side window along Jalan Kolam, near the Petronas petrol station, in Foh Sang, Luyang at 7.35am today (Apr 15).
The vehicle also rammed into the rear of a Perodua Myvi car driven by a woman. She was reported unharmed in the incident.
Sabah Crime Investigation Department (CID) chief SAC Salehhudin Abd Rahman said initial police investigation shows that Hii had just sent his child to school and was believed to be heading to the city centre with the twin-brothers from Lintas when the incident happened.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the penal code.
According to Salehhudin, Hii had been staying in Kota Kinabalu for the past several years and was working with his father-in-law, while the twin-brothers were on a holiday visit.
“One of the twin brothers, who was killed, was a university student and was here on holiday,” he said.
When asked if the incident was motivated by revenge and if the shooters were hired hit-men, Salehhudin said they were still investigating the case from all angles.
When also asked if the shooting was related to several shooting incidents in Sarawak, Salehhudin declined to comment but said a thorough investigation would be carried out.
“All police elements have also been carried out including police roadblocks to track the suspects,” said Salehhudin.
Police also urge anyone with valuable information to come forward to assist police investigation.
The victims’ remains have since been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for post-mortems.

KUCHING: Two men in a 4WD were shot dead along Jalan Kolam, Luyang, Kota Kinabalu at around 8am this morning.
According to eyewitness accounts, they were at the Foh Sang traffic lights when two men on a motorcycle drove alongside the Toyota Land Cruiser and fired shots through the driver’s window, killing the driver and passenger.
It is believed that one of the victims was Sarawakian.
