PETALING JAYA: Heads up panda lovers, Zoo Negara has a treat in store for visitors in conjunction with the ongoing Chinese New Year festivities.
Having previously limited exhibition times for panda viewing, the national zoo is now happy to unveil its brand new schedule to the public.
Visitors are now able to view Xing Xing and Liang Liang alongside their offspring all day, every day.
The two pandas previously set a world record for being the first pair to naturally reproduce within a short period while in captivity.Born on Aug 18, the panda cub now weighs approximately 11kg, being matured enough to join its parents at the Giant Panda Conservation Centre for the public's viewing pleasure.
A special CNY booth was opened on Monday to commemorate the Year of the Monkey. It will stay open until Tuesday, Feb 9.
Activities like face painting, games and contests are held at the booth.
There was also an animal welfare donation booth and an interactive booth that raised awareness about primates present at the event.
