KLANG: Robbers who ripped off an automated teller machine from a factory at Jalan Kebun in Bandar Putra here did not get to keep their loot as they abandoned it with the money inside.
South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Azman Abdul Razak said police were alerted of the theft at about 5.30am on Monday.
ACP Azman said that the factory security guard was alerted to the robbery when he heard a loud noise outside.
“When the guard went to check, the suspects were seen dragging the machine using a cable attached to the car. They were heading towards the Kesas Expressway,” he said.
He said that police believed that there more than one suspect involved and they were using a heavily tinted car.
Robbers made off with an automated teller machine from a factory at Jalan Kebun here by dragging the machine out with a car before abandoning the machine nearby at Bandar Putra here.

ACP Azman added that the suspects were seen wearing black and white masks.
He added that the ATM was then found abandoned nearby Sri Ayu flat at Bandar Putra Klang with the money still intact.
ACP Azman said that the case was being investigated as a gang robbery and police were on the hunt for the suspects.
